Mobile API is a DNN module designed to provide users with mobile access to DotNetNuke site event log. Together with our free iPhone Site Control application this bundle will become indispensable instrument for you to stay in touch with your DNN website wherever you go – there is no need for a desktop computer or a laptop anymore!

Once connected to your Mobile API installed on your website, Site Control displays all the events, portals, host settings and other handy data regarding the site, which is extremely important when you run a mission-critical DotNetNuke portal. The app brings standard DNN event viewer to the iPhone notifying about new registrations, user logins and login failures, exceptions, modules' events, host alerts,
etc.

On top of that, you will receive administrator access to the host settings of a selected portal allowing restarting it at any time.

Note: To use DotNetNuke Mobile API extension please download and install our Site Control App on your iPhone.

Installation instructions:

Installing Mobile API

Step 1 - Download Mobile API

Step 2 - Login to your DNN portal and go to Host- Extensions

Step 3 - Launch "Install Extension Wizard" and install Mobile API

Step 4 - To activate Mobile API go to Host- MobileAPI Settings

Linking Site Control to your DotNetNuke website

Step 1 - Install and launch Site Control on your iPhone. You will see an empty list

Step 2 - Add a DNN site by pressing "+" button and enter all the required information

Step 3 - If URL corresponds to the one with installed DNN Mobile API extension and user name and password are correct, link should be established and the site will appear in DNN sites list. You can add as many portals as you need

Step 4 - Tip the desired host from the list to open its control panel. Control options depend on the user permission level on the particular host

Step 5 - Get started to monitor your portals!
